ABOUT US
Our story starts here...
Long Family Picture.jpg

Ashley and Tristen Long's story began with the hard work and talent of Lois Krone. She originally owned a 3 acre farm on Highway 14 that the Long family purchased in 2020.  This is where Ashley's love of flowers grew!  She started
planting her own varieties, and slowly expanded into a full service floral shop.
Long Stem Gardens was born shortly after in September of 2021!

In July of 2024, the two had grown out of their small 300sq ft garage after the business had
expanded into serving several weddings, funerals, and the retail gift market exploding.
They quickly realized that they needed to expand. The search was on to find a downtown
retail location and the perfect building came for sale in downtown Concordia Kansas.  With
their humble 300sq ft shop as their beginning space, the 1400sq ft retail store became the
perfect footprint for their business to thrive!

Even with the move, Ashley still has room to grow and expand her collection of home
grown flowers!  They purchased a home that has a full sun field perfect for creating the
stunning, exciting blooms you've all come to know and love. Customers can expect a long

vase life from these beautiful varieties that are not found in common wholesale floral
suppliers. Along with fresh flowers, their gift department is growing with the added space
as the plan to bring in 12 new vendors in the fall of 2024!

The Long's lean on Jesus each day for strength and guidance as they try to

be good stewards of their slice of "Heaven" that they have been blessed.

"For we are only on this earth for a short time before we join our Lord and Savior in paradise; we see God's love and provision each day when we step outside. He has chosen us to care for this property for a short while, and we will do our best for Him."

Tristen and Ashley take care of Long Stem Gardens with their 5 year old daughter Aubrey Ella, 2 year old Son Jaylen Jireh, and 1 year old son, Skyler James.  Come see their floral studio today!
